Laura Monday

Laura Monday grew up in Gainesville, Florida and graduated from the University of Florida with a Master of Health Science, with a major in Rehabilitation Counseling. After graduating she worked as a Medicaid Waiver Support Coordinator for 20+ years providing case management and advocating for persons with disabilities of all ages. She is a Certified Case Manager (CCM) and this certification requires continuing education to stay on top of changes and trends in healthcare and elder care.

Laura became interested in advocating for seniors and began providing Geriatric Care Manager services about 6 years ago. She established her own Geriatric Care Manager company and is an Advanced Professional Member of Aging Life Care Association, formally known as Geriatric Care Manager Association. This membership and involvement in local professional groups provides opportunities to network with area resources to be able to guide elders through the aging process.

Laura is happy to have moved into an Elder Care Coordinator position and be a part of the Miller Elder Law Firm providing Life Care Planning. This is a team and family approach to meet the difficult challenges of caring for an aging or sick family member. Each Life Care Plan covers estate planning, asset protection, Medicaid planning, health care advocacy, care coordination, family education, and exploitation prevention. The plan is designed to assist elders to obtain the most appropriate care and have the best quality of life. Laura’s role is to assist you each step of the way.
